Jesus, Marriage and Mamahood

God's Word

Daily Bible Reading and Quiet time

Every day that the Lord gives me, I try to be in His Word. What I mean by that is I will scratch out a time daily to sit quietly in His presence. I find it so important so I can get exactly what He wants me to get for that day! Do not get me wrong! I am so busy, especially with three young children and a husband!!!!! They need my attention all the time and it seems like I cannot get a moment to myself. However, being a follower of Jesus is not a religion or something that I do to “feel good”….it’s a Personal relationship with Jesus! Just like any other relationship we may be involved in, I treat it the same way but it’s the most important relationship that I have! To be honest reading the Bible and praying daily is something I look forward to! I love just hanging out with my Savior! I enjoy listening and seeing what He has for me and my family. It can be so hard to find the time or you can be exhausted as I find myself at times. There are so many bible reading plans and creative ways you can carve out this imperative time with the Lord! I know some people wake up extra early just to have that time or they wait for nap time, bedtime, or even when they run their errands without their children. Whatever works for you make it work! I can not stress enough how vital this is in our relationship with God! The Word is full of wisdom, comfort, direction, and most importantly His character and guidance that will teach us to be more like Him in such a dark and difficult world!
