It is hard waiting….
We hear the word a lot. We say the word a lot. Yet is it easy to practice? Look at a child. When you tell them to “be patient”, it is so hard but a great teaching moment. Patience does not always come so easily. I guess I have always been a patient person but I do not enjoy it. It can be hard to wait for things when it does not move at my pace. As a mother, you learn how to become patient and you grow in that area daily. As a wife, you ask God to give you all the strength to be patient with your spouse and wisdom on how to submit, love, and serve him as the Bible says.
God sees you in your situation…..
Maybe you are waiting for something and it is so hard because you have been waiting for too long. Be patient.
Maybe you are in a season of life that seems the hardest and you pray it will be over soon. Be patient and seek the Lord.
Mama, maybe you haven’t slept since you found out you were pregnant because sleeping is so uncomfortable(baby belly). Now the baby is here and you do not get any sleep. Or maybe you have that toddler that keeps coming out of her bedroom and interrupting your sleep. Be patient, these moments will not last.
To the wife who may not feel heard or has an unbelieving spouse. The woman who is struggling in her marriage. The lonely one in the marriage OR to the wife with a wonderful, strong, Godly marriage: Keep praying and being obedient according to the Word. Be patient and kind.
Longsuffering……
Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit. In Galatians 5:22, NKJV, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law”. Hold on and try to grow in this area. Ask the Lord to show you how you can improve. Take hold of the Bible and study all who struggled and thrived through patience ( Paul, Abraham, and Job are just a few).
Stay grounded during the tough times…..
I say it all the time. Seek the Lord. What I mean is to be in the Bible and spend time with Jesus. There is nothing more important than hanging out with your Creator, Savior Lord Jesus. All the other things can just wait. There should be a desire to be in God’s Word. We may not always “feel” like it but we should grow in that discipline to stay grounded in scripture. What more does the evil one want? To keep us separated from God.
If you can just get in the groove and seek the Lord, especially during the difficult waiting times, I just know it will be so comforting, rewarding and bring about the peace we need.
Thank you for being here on BibleandCake!

Something I definitely needed to hear. Be patient and ground myself more into the word. There is no other guidance to life but Gods word. Thank you.
