I have heard that you can be in a large group and still feel alone. You can be a part of a clique, group, ministry, a family and still feel alone. Why is that? What could be the reason?
However, know that the Lord is with you always. He sees you and hears you. You are not alone.
When I attended a large church several years ago, I did not feel “apart” or “included”. You will often hear Pastors say, “get plugged in” and “get connected”. That is why I jumped in and got involved. You cannot do life alone, you cannot do ministry alone….get connected and join a ministry group, bible study or ask the Lord to show you where you should be planted in the church. Often, we can feel alone because we do not make the steps on our end when it is our job and responsibilty.
I have heard other believers say they are lonely and have no friends who are believers in Jesus too. In my opinion, it is sad to hear this and we need to take steps to connect with one another. I have been there and it made me sad. Thank the Lord, He has opened doors and is blesssing me with more opportunities with fellow sisters in Christ!
Surround yourself with others that will draw you near to Jesus.
Stay close to the Lord. Read your bible, and attend a bible teaching church. Ask the Lord to remove anything from your heart that does not belong there. Ask Him to show you what His will is and for you to be obedient. Maybe there is something you need to do on your part….step out in Faith.
I hope these verses will be comforting and encouraging if you yearn to have a community around you…..
1 Thessalonians 5:11, NKJV, “Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing”.
1 Corinthians 15:33, NKJV, ” Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
Job 6:14, NKJV, ” To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend,
Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty”.
