Every day we are faced with making decisions. When I was a former Police Officer we were trained often to make quick decisions under stressful situations. Since becoming a mother, I find myself making choices with my husband that are best for the children and family.
With a culture not for Christ, we as believers and followers of Jesus must make choices that align with our beliefs in Christ.
Writing for BibleandCake…..
I have not had much time to be able to write as much as I like. I often ask myself if I should continue to write. With the day-to-day family commitments and the busyness of motherhood, I do not have the amount of time to write or keep up with all the social media outlets to promote the content. Honestly, when I do pop on here once in a while, I do not understand how other mothers have the time to do all of this. My main priority is home and family. The writing from my heart will come more often if God wills it. I have to decide to see what will work with BibleandCake.
I enjoy writing a few things here and there. I know it is NOT a strength of mine but I do believe God can use anything especially when it is all for HIM.
Let go of your heart to the Lord Jesus…..
I remember asking myself if we made the right decision. I remember the tears and doubting whether I should have or if I went another route maybe the outcome would be different. Can you relate? Sometimes we do not know what to do. In the moment our flesh may want to do something contrary to what the Lord is calling us to do. Do you go to God when you need to make decisions? Do you go to your friends? Both?
I have learned over many years that if I do not seek the Lord with all that is on my heart then I am doing a disservice to myself. Psalm 120:1, NKJV ” In my distress I cried to the Lord, and He heard me”. The Psalmist is showing that in distress, worry, anxiety, sadness, frustration and anything else- cry out to the Lord. Pour your heart out to Him. He knows and wants to hear from you. How great is the feeling when you chat with your spouse or friend about something in your heart? Yet we do not want to go to the Lord, Creator of all, and share the same things on our minds. It is ludicrous. Come to the Lord in prayer and give your heart to Him. Sometimes we are faced with decisions and circumstances that seem scary and out of our hands. I trust that if we can come to God there will be peace and comfort as we navigate the hard things.
I hope you are well! I hope to be here more often and that you are blessed. Seek the Lord because He is what matters, nothing else should take his place in your life. Guard your relationship with Jesus!!!
