Bad day? Bad week?…..
You know when you ask someone, ” How are you doing”? and they always respond, ” Good, I am well, great, pretty good”. It is not common to have someone say, ” I am not doing well, life sucks, this week has been awful”… etc. Most people shield themselves from sharing the negative.
Most people answer the question with a “positive answer”. The average person doesn’t share their true feelings and experiences for whatever reason. I truly believe that is why people gravitate to others who are “real and transparent with what is going on.
When a Mama has a bad day or tough week….
We all come across those moments we wish would go away. The Book of Psalms is my go-to for when I am struggling. I do not know what I would do without the Lord in my life. Well, I do know. I would gravitate to the things of this world in order to smoother the hurt, stress, and pain. Now that I know Christ, I have access to my Savior even when times are difficult or going WELL. Life here on this earth is not going to be all jolly, happy, and sparkles whether you know Jesus or not. We live in a fallen and broken world, we are sinful so we reap the consequences of our sins and nothing is going to be perfect until Christ returns. o to the Word of God when you are down and having a very difficult time. We should put this into practice. I am pretty sure we all get enough practice because the tough times will come.
Psalm 86:1-4, NKJV
A Prayer of David.
“Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me; For I am poor and needy.
Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You! Be merciful to me, O Lord, For I cry to You all day long.
Rejoice the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul”.
That’s it? Just God?…..
This post will not be too long. I felt like I needed to get this one out to share with those who are going through some tough things. Maybe you are in a season of your life where you just want it to end. I can’t keep it as simple as it really is but we all need to draw close to the Lord even when we DO NOT FEEL LIKE IT. It should not be a “feeling”. No relationship should be based on “feelings”. If so, it will fail. Marriage isn’t based on feelings and your relationship with Jesus shouldn’t be based on how you feel. I say this because when you naturally feel like crap or in a dark place- GOD is who you need to seek. AND HE should NOT be sought after only when you are having a difficult time in life or WANT something. See, God knows all hearts and intentions and I hope this will encourage you to seek him all the time and want him even when your flesh wants some space.
John 15:1-14, NKJV
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me ,you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love”. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you”.
Final thoughts….
I hope this will let you know that you are not alone. God sees you, just as he saw Hagar when she ran from Sarah. Genesis 16:13, NKJV, “Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”
Despite your circumstances, seek God. It is as simple as that no matter the feelings or circumstances. God is available and he is waiting to spend time with you. The busy mother you may be or the working lady, you must make the effort and decision to turn to him.

Thank you for sharing this inspiring message. It’s a great reminder that no matter what we’re going through, God sees us and is always there for us. Seeking God in difficult times can bring us comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. Genesis 16:13 is a powerful verse that reminds us of God’s love and care for us.
