My husband and I laughed when Cupcake said this a few days ago- ” How come Mommy does not work”? ! I was in the kitchen making dinner while he and hubby were on the couch chatting. Kevin was explaining how he has to return to work in a couple of days when Cupcake stated, “How come Mommy does not work?”. I immediately responded as I was prepping the plates for dinner, ” I work, just here at home” LOL.
To: The MAMA who stays home…..
Yes, the Stay at home mama works! We work long shifts and wear too many hats to count. There are not many chances for a lunch break and when you need to use the bathroom, it is similar to a meeting with a face or two standing or sitting nearby. Oh mama, you work! You work hard! Yet, you may not leave the house in heels, dress pants, makeup and hair completed but you leave the house in the fur UGG boots with the high-waisted yoga pants and shirt that is easy to nurse! Mama, you provide for your family. You are worthy and important!
At times, you may be exhausted emotionally and all “touched out” or physically from the lack of sleep. Whatever season you are in, you are seen and loved! We all work whether out of the home or at home! We work hard and endlessly trying to be the best mother God has called us to be!
Keep up the GOOD work!
Stay strong in the season you are in. I say this a lot. We want to run out of what we are facing when it is so hard but what if we lean onto our Savior Jesus Christ and get the strength we need from Him alone? You are not perfect. I am not perfect. That is why we need a Savior. As a mother, it will not be easy. We will face disappointments and struggles that seem too hard to conquer. You may feel like you are failing at the most important job you will be held accountable for. You are not. Be present, not perfect. Tell your children you love them and show it through hugs, cuddles, and kisses. If you feel as though you are not around and can do better. DO better, quickly. Time is too short. It is so important and I want to encourage you to step back, pray and make a change if you know there needs to be one especially when it comes to your family!
Bible verses for the stay-at-home mother:
Colossians 3:23-24, NKJV, "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ". This verse reminds me that whatever we are called to do, remember it is all for the Lord!!!!!! Mama, wife, doctor, lawyer, receptionist, contractor, sales, teacher, nanny, whatever you may do- do it for the Lord!!!!! Now I need to go back to "work" hehe !!!!! Nap time is over! Thanks for reading!!!!!

This was indeed enlightening read. I must say I took this to heart, I am not apart of the mama crew but as I continue to read I find myself in prayer for all the mama’s.
Thank you for all you do!
